Zoning doesn't always work:

One of the subcontractors for the rebuilding of a building at Ground Zero has been charged with stealing $1.2 million by endorsing invoices for work which was never done. The name of the firm? John Galt Enterprises

They should have known better than to hire a Randite.

I thought this was a metaphor

When the media began saying that Roland Burris would accept the Senate seat even if he were expelled the next day because he wanted it on his tombstone,, I thought it was a metaphor.

But no. Jefferson settled for three boasts, and left a request in his will; Burris already put up the marble, and included his time as a foreign exchange student. Poor man, to be so driven.
